About the job:
Chief Accountant ensures compliance with tax and accounting legislation and prepares financial statements and tax declarations. They oversee day-to-day accounting operations, prepare monthly and annual reports, and communicate with the National Revenue Agency and other institutions.
As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Organizing, managing, and controlling the company’s overall financial and accounting activities;
- Preparing and presenting monthly and annual financial statements and declarations in accordance with the Accountancy Act, Corporate Income Tax Act, VAT Act, Personal Income Tax Act, and other applicable regulations;
- Performing internal financial control and analyzing business operations;
- Preparing and submitting declarations, reports, and statistical filings to the National Revenue Agency, National Social Security Institute, National Statistical Institute, and other institutions;
- Ensuring compliance with current tax, social security, and labor legislation;
- Supporting management in making financial decisions and developing the company’s accounting policies;
- Liaising with auditors, banks, government authorities, counterparties, and suppliers;
- Performing other specifically assigned duties related to the position.
To do this as a professional, you must meet the following requirements:
- Higher education degree in Accounting;
- More than 5 years of professional experience in the field;
- More than 2 years of experience in a managerial position;
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework in the field of accounting reporting and internal financial control;
- Very good knowledge of International Accounting Standards;
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework related to tax and social security legislation;
- Knowledge of the fundamental principles of labor and civil legislation;
- Experience working with accounting software;
- Experience working with Dynamics ERP system will be considered an advantage;
- Good communication skills;
- Excellent command of MS Office – Word and Excel;
- Excellent command of English;
- Strong decision-making skills and sense of responsibility.
