We are proficient at what we do
We use in-house resources under internally centralized project management, undertaking on a turnkey basis all activities related to the deployment, modernization and optimization of both mobile and fixed network infrastructure. Our UK based team consists of more than 80 fully trained and certified employees.
We are looking to hire Rigger Team Leader to join our experienced team.
As a Rigger Team Leader you will be responsible for:
- Leading and supervising Rigging Engineers with the carrying out management of all rigging activities whilst on site, installation of feeders, antenna, mast head amplifiers and all other associated equipment in a quality manner
- Leading and supervising Rigging Engineers with ensuring correct tools, materials and equipment are available ready for site
- Leading and supervising Rigging Engineers with the installation of antennas associated equipment to correct tilts, bearings and alignment in accordance with the Site Selection Form or equivalent documents
- Ensuring the rigging vehicle is operational, safe to drive and always maintained correctly with all incidents or damage reported to the transport department
- Ensuring all site staff are registered and booked on/off site
- Compiling and completing client handover documentation to required specifications
- Ensuring all site staff check all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) prior to use and report any defects to the QHSE department
- Ensuring all site staff report all accidents, incidents, good catches / interventions and non-conformances to the QHSE department
- Remain up to date with site provider specifications, documents and requirements seeking clarity from the Technical Support Manager or General Foreman if needed
- Ensuring all site staff follow the Safe System of Work (SSoW) established by project leaders
- Ensuring all site staff check all tools an equipment prior to use, reporting any non-conforming tools and equipment to the QHSE department
- Ensuring all site staff use tools, plant and equipment within manufacturer specifications at all times
- Ensuring all works are completed as per site specific drawings, instructions, Scope of Works and documentation
- Ensuring all site staff communicate all issues with Health, Safety and Welfare to the QHSE department
- Ensuring all site staff cooperate with internal / external site auditors and provide comments, feedback and evidence where needed
- Ensuring all site-specific documentation such as Risk Assessment, Method Statement, Dynamic Risk Assessment are fully read, understood, signed and complied with by all site staff
- Ensuring all site staff comply with all company policies, processes and procedures at all times
- Ensuring all site staff comply with all site safety rules and regulations
- Ensuring rigging vehicle and all required tools, PPE and equipment are available for thorough inspection as and when required by the QHSE department
- Ensuring all third-party contractors on site have had their competency checked and all equipment / machinery being used has been thoroughly inspected as per LOLER and PUWER regulations
To do this as a professional, you should match with following requirements:
- Experience in a Telecoms environment
- Clear driving license
- Quick and logical thinking
- Be confident in taking decisions
- Pay attention to detail
- working at height experience, and a good understanding of rigging specifications and standards for the major networks.
- Experience of working as a 2nd Man/person in the installation of telecoms antennas, feeders, MHAs and associated steel work etc., cabling, labelling and cable terminations, rig and testing feeders, running feeders, DC and Fibre cable, terminating feeders, installing Tray work and general rigging duties
- Electrical and Commissioning experience would be an advantage although not essential.
- Must be prepared to work and stay away from home nationally as required.
