Challenge
OMV Bulgaria set out to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of its nationwide network of retail sites by integrating on-site photovoltaic (PV) systems. The goal was to reduce operational energy costs, lower the company’s carbon footprint, and embed renewable energy generation directly into daily operations.
The challenge required the full design, permitting, and deployment of numerous rooftop Photovoltaic installations — each subject to strict national regulations, site-specific constraints, and high safety and performance requirements across a diverse commercial portfolio.
Solution
Telelink Infra Services delivered a turnkey EPC solution, acting as OMV’s engineering and implementation partner for the photovoltaic rollout across Bulgaria.
Our scope included:

Development of full technical and investment designs for electrical installations and supporting structures, compliant with the Spatial Development Act (ZUT).

Complete permitting and coordination with national and municipal authorities for each site.

Procurement and delivery of modules, inverters, mounting systems, and electrical equipment meeting OMV’s quality and safety standards.

Full construction and installation works, including cabling, structural integration, and electrical connections.

System testing, commissioning, operator training, and warranty maintenance.

Continuous author’s supervision across all project phases to ensure quality, compliance, and seamless execution.
Delivery timeline and scale:

2023: PV systems deployed at 18 sites with a total installed capacity of 878.15 kWp.

2024–2025: Additional 13 sites completed with 590.59 kWp installed capacity.
Outcome
OMV Bulgaria now operates a nationwide network of 31 photovoltaic installations, generating clean, on-site electricity across its retail operations.
